International Day of Disabled Persons
December 3 is the International Day of Disabled Persons.
Among people living on Earth, there is a special category - people with disabilities. From birth, they suffer from physical or mental disabilities or have lost their ability to work due to injuries and illnesses. By 2019, their number has reached a billion. How can we help people with disabilities? Should we help them? Why a lot of people don't help them?

  1. Before you run to the disabled person to help, ask, does he needs your help?
Make elevators and the ability for them to move everywhere, as abroad. Organize contests and competitions for people with disabilities so that they know that all people are equal. To give disabled people jobs (as far as possible). Do not look at them, as we usually look at: as a rogue.
I think we should help them because they are not to blame for their illness. But I have never help disabled people physically, like: to help cross road, or to help to get on the bus. In my opinion we should more help disabled people morally than physically,to help them to be themselves and, to feel like an ordinary person.

  2. I am very sorry for such people who are limited in something. their parents try to teach something, cure it, but it happens that you can’t do it on your own and you can solve the problem with a medical operation, but it is very expensive. sometimes parents have enough money to treat the child, but sometimes the amount is too large. that is why we see for example in the department store a box for collecting money. I believe that everyone can help some person with disabilities, but he will not do this because of his problems. for example, you need to buy medicine. if you have your own problems, then you must first solve them, and then solve the problems of other people.

  3. Thank you, Taras, for creating this post. This is a really serious problem as people are not always tolerant towards disabled people. We should learn to pay attention to a personality more than a physical appearance. No one is perfct, actually.

  4. I believe that the main problem today is that we treat people with disabilities as unusual people. In some countries a disabled person will be bypassed by all despite him; in some all attention will be paid to him and he will be constantly helped by everyone. Both options are unacceptable.
On the one hand, we should always help people with disabilities in all situations that they find it difficult, but on the other hand, we should only help them when they ask, as we help all the other people, so don’t make a difference between them. Our country hosts many events to improve the lives of people with disabilities. Ramps are put on public transport, disabled people are given free prosthetics, tax benefits and others. But many people stil shy away from them and tries not to notice them. It could be solved only by culture of upbringing.

    2. To do this, it is necessary to improve modern education by turning it from a simple process of obtaining knowledge into a process of upbrining, learning, inprovment and the creation of human in all senses of the word. Teachers should not only be a source of knowledge but also a tutor because in our time three psychologists for one school is too little... In my opinion, literature, that has raised generations before us, will help a lot.
