Thank you for staying at home and thinking about others. Take care of you and your families.

Agenda for this week is:

1. Do exercises on Unit 19 in your Student's Book, Grammar and Workbook. 
2. On April 24, Friday we'll try to have a Zoom lesson with each class. You'll be able to ask questions on Unit 19 and we'll also talk about genetically engineered food. Download zoom.us to your computer, tablet or phone in advance. I'll send you an invitation in our homework on the blog.
3. Participate in the blog discussions. The first one will be "A letter from myself in 2030". You will get marks for them. You will need to write about 10 sentences. 
4. Optional. Write an essay for the International contest (see the previous post) and upload it onto schools.by. Everybody who writes it will get a '10'.
5. The Test on Unit 19 will be next week.
6. If you have any questions, ask them in your comments on this post.

Essay Contest

This annual essay contest is organized in an effort to harness the energy, creativity and initiative of the world's youth in promoting a culture of peace and sustainable development. It also aims to inspire society to learn from the young minds and to think about how each of us can make a difference in the world.

Theme: “A Letter from Myself in 2030”

Imagine what an ideal world ten years from now would be like. Write a letter from yourself in 2030 to your present (2020) self, in which you describe the state of the world, the way people are living, and what you, yourself, are doing in society. In addition, include any important message that you might wish to tell your present self.

Essays must be 700 words or less.

Essays must be original and unpublished. Plagiarized entries will be rejected.

According to UNESCO, the Belarusian language belongs to the group of languages ​​that are threatened with extinction. In the Atlas of world languages ​​in danger, it is designated as vulnerable. This is the first of four steps on the path to extinction.

According to statistics, on average only 3% of respondents do this. But on the so-called "trasianka" an average of 43.5% of the population speaks. People communicate on it in stores, with friends, in the family. But about 18.5% read publications in the Belarusian language.
