What would you do in the situataions describes in Ex. 3 p. 43-47? Have you ever experienced peer presuure? What happened? Why is doing what your friends do so important for teens? Is it easy to stand up fro your opinion in a group? What can you do if you feel uncomfortable doing what your friends do?
If I were Oliver I'd break this friendship. And actually it's not easy but here it was the only one way. And if I were Jesselin I would do my homework at school and I would listen to the teacher because she was right. And Anthony was right. He tried to explain that reading is good and maybe sometimes he would found real friends.
ReplyDeleteActually it's easy for me to say like this and I don't know what to do in this situation. And, I think that some yers ago I would do what I was told but now I wouldn't.
It's important for teens doing what they friends doinh because it's important for us what other people think about us. Sometimes we can be afraid to lose our friends.
In some groups it's easy to stand up your opinion. And sometimes it's hard. When a lot of people don't agree with your opinion it's hard to stand up it.
If my friends do something that I don't want to do I wouldn't do it. It's my life so I'm the only one who can decide what can I do.
Peer presure is a typical problem for children, teenagers and youth any time. As all other's, my opinion partically depands on opinion of my peers. But only in such cases like turning down the music or stopping suggesting to others. But in other situations I do that things I have chosen even when peers don't approve it.
ReplyDeleteI think that Oliver did everything right that he did not want to smoke. I would, in his place, make new friends who would not smoke and would no longer communicate with those friends.
ReplyDeletePeer presure is a big problem in our world. A lot of teenagers are exposed by peer presure. I think it happens, because teenagers and children want to be cool among their friends and to be respectful. In this situation you shouldn't listen what others say. You should do only what you want. It would be the best thing you can do.
ReplyDeleteLuckily I have never experienced peer presure. But if this happened to me, I would ignore these people and try not to succumb to presure
And if you are in the same situation as these teens you should break up with such bad people. It certainly won’t lead you to the good.
You are brave people! You are ready to stand up for your opinion when it concerns your health and your future.
ReplyDeleteMom is the first word in the life of almost every person. How many songs praising maternal feat! How many films, cartoons, paintings and plays about the relationship of mother and child! The image of mother has become so firmly entrenched in world culture. The main and one of the best qualities of all mothers on the planet - mother will always forgive. And it doesn’t matter if you broke a vase or left home. Mom will always accept you as you are and protect you from the hardships of the world around us. Moms love their children more than their lives, but not always children reciprocate with their mothers. However, in my case, I love my mother in the same way and try to make her surprises and gifts more often. Love your mothers!
